Steve is the founder of Open Source Training. A teacher for many years, he also ran Alledia.com, a leading web development firm in Atlanta, Georgia. Steve's firm built over 200 Joomla!, Wordpress and Drupal and is on the Open Source Matters board which helps run the Joomla! project.
Kenneth Crowder has been involved in the Joomla! community since its inception. Better known by most as ChiefGoFor on the Joomla! Forum, he has volunteered countless hours to help the open source project. Kenneth holds a Bachelor’s degree in computer science from Northwest Missouri State University. His resume includes Omaha.com, BIGSHOT, Hallmark.com, and Sprint.
He is the President of Crowder Web Design, Inc. His company provides web solutions primarily based around the Joomla! CMS. Previous clients include Citibank, Wounded Warrior Project, and Internet Identity.

A 30-year-old Mechanical Engineer turned web developer, Nicholas has been writing computer software since the age of eleven. He currently is the lead developer of Akeeba Backup (formerly JoomlaPack) and owner of the company which handles the commercial branch of the project. A prolific Joomla! developer, he strongly believes in the Free Software movement and the ideas sharing it stands for. He enjoys writing articles about Joomla! in his blog and is a contributing author in the Joomla! Community Magazine ever since its first issue.
G. Andrew Duthie, aka devhammer, is the Developer Evangelist for Microsoft’s Mid-Atlantic States district, where he provides support and education for developers working with the .net development platform. In addition to his work with Microsoft, Andrew is the author of several books on ASP.NET and web development, and has spoken at numerous industry conferences from VSLive! and ASP.NET Connections, to Microsoft’s Professional Developer Conference (PDC) and Tech-Ed. Andrew has been participating in the user group community since way back in 1997, when one of his co-workers dragged him out to the Internet Developers User Group in Tyson's Corner, VA, and he's been hooked ever since.

Jen is a partner and Senior Interface Developer at 4Web Inc., a web development firm creating highly customized Joomla websites. She is also a senior faculty member at the Marlboro College Graduate School, teaching courses and workshops in web site design and management, including Joomla. She is the Program Director for the Master's of Science in Internet Technologies program (MSIT), advising students and overseeing courses and faculty pertaining to the degree. Jen is a Lynda.com author, featuring videos about website strategy and planning, Joomla! templates and CSS in Joomla!. Her first book, "Joomla! Start to Finish: How to Plan, Execute, and Maintain Your Web Site", was published in January 2010. Jen manages Joomla! User Group New England.
Hailing from New Orleans, Louisiana, Louis Landry works in Web development, and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Louisiana Tech University. His first experience with computers was playing on a 286 with Basic at his father's office. Louis has programmed in many languages, ranging from low level x86 assembly to managed languages like Java, and scripting languages like PHP. Louis was a founding member of his university's robotics team. Additionally, he is a car nut, and enjoys working on them in his spare time.

Ryan Ozimek is the President of Open Source Matters (OSM), the non-profit organization that helps manage the Joomla! project. Ryan has been an officer on OSM's board of directors, and has provided stewardship and guidance in the project's fundraising and event management. During this time, the Joomla! project has expanded greatly, now topping more than 16 million downloads and over 380,000 registered users in its forums.
Ryan is also the founder and CEO of PICnet, Inc. In the nine years since the founding of the PICnet, the company has grown from a graduate school concept into one of the most recognized and trusted names in the open source non-profit technology field. Under Ryan's management, PICnet has forged strong relationships open source technology giants, including the Joomla! project (www.joomla.org), in an effort to provide organizations the sophisticated and affordable services. Ryan has guided PICnet through a natural evolution in open source business models, including custom development, support services, and currently software as a service (SaaS) models.
This business experience, coupled with his work as President of OSM, provides Ryan a strong knowledge base of successful lessons learned and best practices for open source business model development. Ryan has a Masters of Public Policy from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), as well as an Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from UCLA as well.
Originally a youth worker with severely disturbed youngsters Brian was involved in publishing some of the largest multimedia CD-ROMS of the late 90's. In 2000 Brian helped to launch the first Linux ISP for the UK and later co-founded Joomla! and Open Source Matters.

Nereyda (Neri) Valentin-Macias is a freelance brand designer and website composer living in Uxbridge, Massachusetts, where she composes brands and websites for local non-profits and small businesses. She has been a Joomla! evangelista since 2007 and has participated in a number of community events and teams including; the first online PBF, GsoC 2008 mentor for the J!Research project, former communications team member, and is member of team EaSE for the online community magazine. When she is not composing, Neri enjoys kayaking the waterways in New England and creates fine art pieces.
Cory Webb is the founder and owner of Cory Webb Media, LLC, a company specializing in building custom Joomla!-powered websites for companies all over the world. Cory has been building websites with Joomla! since 2003, and he wrote a book, "Beginning Joomla! Web Site Development", that was published by Wrox in March 2009. He also founded and runs a popular Joomla! tutorial site, HowToJoomla.net, where he shares tips and tricks from his extensive experience working with Joomla!
Chad Windnagle is a twenty year old Joomla! lover. He was introduced to the Joomla! CMS in 2005 when he entered an internship with a web development company. Chad was one of the first runner-up picks during Joomla!’s 2007 GHOP content, and has been a part of the Joomla community since. Chad has been active in the Joomla! community as a Joomla! forum moderator, an official documentation team member, and remains active as a part of the Joomla! Resource Directory Editors Team.
Chad graduated from Tompkins Cortland Community College with an Associates of Applied Science in Website Design. Chad graduated as a high-honor student. He is continuing his education at Delhi University but remains persistent in involving himself with all-things-Joomla! as much as possible.
