Joomla! Security

I have met a lot of people who use Joomla to build web sites for themselves and their clients. I am often surprised at the number of people who do not put an emphasis on Security. The main reason for this lack of attention is the mere intimidation of the subject. People often think that the topic will be too complex for their skill-set. This is not true.

I've detailed a list of Best Practices that you can use to deter script kiddies and other hackers from defacing your web site. Most of these Best Practices are so simple that if implemented we could drastically reduce the number of hacked Joomla! web sites. You owe it to yourself and your clients to ensure that their web sites are as secure as possible.

Please join me as we take a look at Joomla! Security like you have never seen it before. Your reputation may depend on it.
