Joomla!Day DC 2010
Speaker Presentation Proposals
The 2011 Joomla! Day DC will be held at Microsoft’s offices in Chevy Chase, Maryland, just outside of Washington, DC on Saturday, October 15, 2011.
We invite YOU to propose a SESSION and/or a LIGHTNING TALK.
We hope to attract a broad range of attendees, who may have varying amounts of experience with Joomla!, and so have tentatively planned four tracks:
- Business Track – topics like SEO, e-commerce, web analytics that have a business focus, case studies
- Foundations Track – topics for everyone, including Joomla! novices, such as backup, site security, how to Joomla!
- Comparison Track – information helping to choose between different extensions, template frameworks, hosting platforms, etc.
- Developer / Designer Track – custom themes, component development, Joomla! 1.6/1.7 differences, migration, etc.
Standard presentations will be allotted 75 minutes, with a 15-minute break between sessions. To be considered for a session, please complete the form below by June 30, 2011:
- Proposed session title
- Most appropriate track(s) for the talk
- Speaker(s) names, affiliations, e-mail addresses, phone numbers
- Session description – 150 words or less
- Biography for each presenter – 150 words or less
- Website(s) of each presenter
- Where you have presented this topic or similar topics before
- Your photo – print quality, head shot preferred
